TEDIAL and MEDIAPRO to collaborate in development of audiovisual document management software TARSYS 4.0.

MEDIAPRO and TEDIAL have reached a collaboration agreement for the final development and testing of TARSYS 4.0, the evolution of the TARSYS software created by the company from Malaga and which is the final stages of design before its market launch. In order to carry out the project, MEDIAPRO will give TEDIAL access to GOL TELEVISIÓN’s digital archive which it currently supplies.

MEDIAPRO considers it of strategic importance to participate directly in the audiovisual tech’ company TEDIAL’s new software application given the current need for the management of digital archives within the group.

GOL TELEVISIÓN will provide an ideal production platform for TEDIAL to develop TARSYS 4.0 given that it is a channel whose need for archiving services is huge. The MAM needs are greater than any other production centre and the documentation department has a lot of experience with these systems. In addition, as it is a channel that produces all of its content in high definition, it is the perfect setting to test the performance of any broadcast equipment currently in the market.

Unitecnic will be responsible for the necessary integration which will allow all the tests to be carried out. The audiovisual engineering company part of the MEDIAPRO group has extensive knowledge of Tedial solutions as it carried out the integration of the current GOL TELEVISIÓN archive and has carried out system installations of this type for clients such as laSexta, the TV channel ESPN Buenos Aires and the production company Bainet.

The CMIS standard (Content Management Interoperability Services), introduced in 2009, represents a big step forward for sharing information warehoused in a variety of different systems. CMIS is a universal web service that content management applications need to incorporate to be able to leverage a unified interface. CMIS facilitates the integration of content warehoused in different systems. CMIS allows user access to different content options in a variety of systems via a user interface application. CMIS facilitates the reading or publication of content as part of the business process, without needing specific connectors to each individual system.

TARSYS 4.0, the latest version of TEDIAL’s powerful MAM (Media Asset Management) system, incorporates a Java implementation of the CMIS standard, which simplifies the design and distribution of document management systems as well as unifying the access to information systems independent of internal architecture. TARSYS 4.0 will allow the integration of the entire range of documentation systems already being used or scheduled to be used in the IMAGINA group.
