CABSAT 2010 - Tedial

Tedial celebrates a successful CABSAT. Return visit to leading Middle East exhibition.

Tedial, the leading Spanish high technology company specialising in broadcast process and asset management, enjoyed significant success at CABSAT, the most important event for the digital media industry in the Middle East and North Africa. This is the second year that Tedial has exhibited at CABSAT, and this year it was one of 16 Spanish companies taking part, the only one from Andalusia.

“The Middle East is a strategically important region for Tedial, because of the high level of activity in digitisation and automation,” said José Mesas, managing director of Tedial. “By being at CABSAT we can talk to broadcasters in the region, and help them understand the benefits of a broad approach to asset and process management.

“We are already deeply involved in four international tenders in the Middle East, and CABSAT was an ideal opportunity to talk to these companies,” he added. “These plans include the whole Tedial suite of products, led by the Ficus asset management and the BPM broadcast business manager.”

The attendance at CABSAT 2010 and the major inroads into the regional market follow on from a highly successful period for Tedial. Despite the recession, in the last two years Tedial has grown its staff by 20% and its revenues by 30%. Founded in 2001, the company maintains close development links with the University of Málaga, employs more than 70 engineers, and is the audio-visual asset management market leader in Spain and Latin America, in broadcast, government, healthcare and industry.

Most recently, Tedial won the contract to create a digital solution for the entire historical tape archive of Radio Televisión Española (RTVE). For Tedial and the Spanish national broadcaster this represents one of the largest and most challenging video digitisation projects anywhere in the world.
