TEDIAL digitizes 18 years of Canal 9´s history.
TEDIAL continues with its contribution for introducing digital technology in television business. Recently, in Canal 9 of Comunidad Valenciana, TEDIAL has managed with its own technology (TD Media Process Manager) different and important media flows in this channel for almost 20 years of history, joining with AVID, UNITY (shared storage) and iNews (news system). This integration also has become effective for broadcast subject with the MCOM automation and the Media Stream videoservers, for the insertion and broadcasting of media.
But the integration has not been the only thing that TEDIAL has carried out in Canal 9. TEDIAL has also fulfilled the migration of the channel video library, including the automatical digitalization of video tapes (one million of clips). Four historical database based on BRS of Canal 9 have been migrated to the digital archive system of TEDIAL, TD TARSYS. Four hundred transformation rules of the data model have been applied. Implantation of tapeless model in Canal 9, including migration of video library, shows TEDIAL´s capability to integrate and automate the audiovisual digital technology for digital television. TEDIAL contributes for the improvement of production process and making display periods shorter.
