Lancelot TV

Tedial in Murcia and Lanzarote.
Lancelot TV channel, from Lanzarote (Islas Canarias) and TAM, (Televisión Autonómica de Murcia), will rely on Tedial to apply its broadcast solution in order to make easier the digitizing, insertion, cataloguing, archiving and data recovering of analogic audiovisual material.

Tedial uses its own technology, so it has developed several products that work together to be a complete solution for the archive needs of any TV channel, getting adapted to the systems and servers that are working with the TV channel simultaneously.

In both cases, Lancelot TV and TAM, Tedial will apply its archive system, TD Tarsys© to manage the audiovisual material and also will work with other products and tools, which have been also developed by Tedial, such as:

TD Media Process Manager© - Process control module

MPM© is the result of our experience in the automatization of workflows in the tapeless digital television field. MPM system permits to define, schedule, and monitor the media flows in an heterogeneous and distributed server environment.

TD Indexer© - Indexing and Automatic Cataloguing Module

Indexer © permits the analysis of multimedia archives to automatically extract the needed access information for cataloguing and edition. Indexer embodies diverse capabilities, such as, storyboard indexing, thesaurus, advanced search, audio to text translation, virtual asset support, and pattern recognition.

TD AST© - Storage Managment Module

AST © solves the problem of the automatization of the data transfer between the hard disk system and the robotized tape library. In addition, it permits the access to fragments of taped audiovisual archives by time codes.

The great advantage is that Tedial´s broadcast solution can be integrated with several and different servers which the channel works with, to get a complete and coordinated work; managing the movement of information from “ingestion” to “broadcast”.

In Lancelot TV, Tedial has installed a server which is coordinated with LanShare, by Avid. In TAM´s case, the integration has been more complex that in Lancelot TV: Tedial has worked with iNews, by Avid, for insertion and media downloading processes. TD Tarsys has been adapted to Pebble Beach, for automation and with K2, by Thomsosn, for broadcast.

As long as Lancelot TV and TAM were not working with Tedial, they would have to rely on several companies for each process of the audiovisual management. Tedial solves, just in one go, all the phases of the project. It works on a big costs reduction and an easier way of working.
