Tedial is getting ready for IBC 2006.
The broadcast trade show, IBC 2006, will receive around 1000 exhibitors and more than 40.000 visitors . The event will be at the Amsterdam RAI International Exhibition and Congress Centre, The Netherlands, from 8th to 12th September. Once again ,Tedial will be at this event to show new improvements in its broadcast solution. Many projects in several national and international TV channels have been awarded to Tedial, getting the company more and more experience.
About Tedial
Tedial, Tecnologías Digitales Audiovisuales, is an Spanish company, the result of the union of professional experiences around a group of PhD researchers, with a precise knowledge of the latest technological advances related to the audiovisual information systems, and with an ample experience in consultancy and product development as well as in national and European projects.
Since 2001, Tedial focuses its work on the design of R&D&I products in the audiovisual technology sector, as well as in the development and marketing of technologically advanced products, that serve as reference in the convergence of digital technologies. Today, Tedial is a well-established company, working with more than 30 engineers, developing products and complete solutions for the multimedia information system.
Td Tarsys© is the management and archiving system for audiovisual information, developed by Tedial. It integrates into the workflow production, that includes both the connection to the news and broadcasting systems and the adaptation to the different data transfer modes existing in the company. The system is implemented in compliance with the most used multimedia standards and formats, as AVID and Thomson´s tools. The result is a complete, organized and efficient work, that is able to control the process from digitalization to broadcasting. TD Tarsys works with Tedial´s tools to manage each process of the information.
TD Media Process Manager© is the system which allows the definition, planning and monitoring of media flows in an heterogeneous and distributed servers environment. TD MPM allows the interaction of users during the processing of the media flows, in their different sections (news- text and video- programmes, ingest, archive, web and broadcasting.
TD Indexer©, the module for story board indexing, thesaurus, advanced search, audio to text translation, virtual assets and pattern recognition. It analyses the multimedia archives and automatically extract fundamental access information for cataloguing and edition.
TD AST© is the system that Tedial provides for the development and implantation of storage systems for digital audiovisual information. One of the main features of TD AST is its capability to carry out partial reads of in-tape archives, by a time-code.
Moreover, Tedial will show TD Monitor©, a product that represents a solution on its own as a legal copy system. Basically, it is the simultaneous recording of all of one or several TV channels programmes; so, an audiovisual register is generated of all that has been broadcasted. If we add each channel´s audience ratings to that information, we get a very important information for TV business, such as advertising contracting, programmes plans, etc. TD Monitor© is able to be used individually or as an accessory of TD Tarsys©, according to client´s need.
The third element to show is the FLI system. Its functionality is to make all the programmes, TV series and advertisements go through different processes, such as digitalisation, correction, censorship, editing and final browsing. When the information has gone through all those processes, it is ready to begin the media management that is done by the systems previously defined/mentioned.
The main advantage of Tedial´s Broadcast Solution is that it carries out all the processes of the audiovisual information management, with no need of resorting to different companies. Tedial´s solution and products are able to be integrated with any news server. The main consequence is a cost reduction, due to it´s automatic indexation and cataloguing tools, remote publication and fast and neat editing.
FLI system, TD Monitor and the rest of Tedial´s products are able to be used individually or as a whole, giving a flexible use, adapted to the clien´s need.
