IBC 2007
TEDIAL on course for IBC 2007.
TEDIAL still feels strength to focus on the Amsterdam RAI Congress Centre where will take place, as every year, the greatest European broadcast event, IBC 2007, from September 7th to 11th.
It will surely be a great opportunity for TEDIAL to reinforce the Spanish presence at this kind of event and show its latest research and development advances in the audiovisual field.
Tedial will show at IBC 2007 the new versions of its products, all of them related to the management of audiovisual contents.
TD TARSYS©: TARSYS system new architecture covers two essential requirements of a corporate MAM: High availability and scalability. TEDIAL has extended the TARSYS architecture to a high availability cluster multiserver configuration with dynamic load balancing. The number of users may increase unlimitedly by simply adding new servers to cluster.
TD Media Process Manager©: MPM system allows the definition, scheduling, and monitoring of media flows in an heterogeneous and distributed server environment. MPM interprets flow descriptions, arranges the multimedia operations in sequence, determines the required agents to carry out the media flow, and assigns them their worklist. MPM receives media flow commands from the automation, traffic, production and archive systems.
TD Indexer©: It is the library of operations for the automatic analysis of the media, that can be integrated either with the TARSYS ingest system as with the MPM system. TD Indexer is developed around the MPEG-7 and MPEG-21 standards. Apart from classic operations like creation of storyboard, media indexing and format normalization (Quicktime Apple, ISO File Format, MXF), TD Indexer includes new functions for automatic content detection through digital signature, subtitle indexing, automatic advertising detection and audio to text processing.
TD AST©: AST is an user-transparent, scalable tertiary storage system (HSM). It allows to save multimedia material in external storage devices and to minimize the access time to the contents through various methods, including the partial downloading of media archives. The new version of TD AST has a distributed multiserver architecture that virtualizes the local and shared storage (SAN) of the servers transforming them into multilevel caches. Moreover, the distributed TD AST system allows the adding of new data base libraries to improve the storage capacity or the archive security.
As the latest development, TEDIAL will show this year at IBC 2007 its new product TD FICUS©, an essential tool for the management and control of the audiovisual production processes. In the TV context, production may be in-house, provided by distributors, promotions and news programmes. TD FICUS© allows to customize the TV production flows, and the automatic creation of work commands for each one of the audiovisual flow production phases. Some of these phases are ingest/digitalization, quality control, subtitling , censorship, editing and versioning.
TD FICUS is integrated with TD TARSYS© and TD MPM© as well as with the traffic, automating, editing and archiving systems. TD FICUS© increases TEDIAL range of products for the implantation of fully-digital audiovisual production systems. TD FICUS©, as the rest of TEDIAL products, is based on web services technology, ensuring its integration with other applications.
Visitors at IBC 2007 wishing more information about these new products and the TEDIAL Broadcast Solution may drop by the booth 11.731.
