Product Overview

MPM is a powerful application with two key roles: media workflow automation and enterprise-level integration platform. MPM works as a middle layer integrating all the third-party systems and technologies of a typical heterogeneous facility such as video servers, traffic, playout automation, editors, newsroom system, subtitling devices, automatic QC, etc. MPM not only ensures that media and metadata flow freely between the facility’s third-party systems, it also makes it possible to carry out production workflows spanning the entire facility – despite the fact many of the systems involved are often incompatible for either technical or commercial reasons.

At Tedial we believe that MPM is the most important component of a tapeless system: it’s what makes it work in a practical way. Without proper integration and automatic media moving, a file-based facility ends up being a collection of independent technology islands that interact between themselves through complicated and time-consuming manual processes.  This clearly offsets any benefits obtained when investing in tapeless technologies.
