Tedial’s Director, Architectural Solutions Tapped to Talk “Maximizing Storage – Storage Anywhere”
Malaga, Spain – May 10, 2017 – Julián Fernández-Campón, Director, Architectural Solutions at Tedial, the leading independent MAM technology solutions specialist, will be sharing his expertise regarding storage at the SMPTE Washington DC Section “Bits By The Bay” technology conference. The annual two-day event, held at the Chesapeake Beach Resort & Spa, provides meaningful and insightful education via hands-on workshops and presentations conducted by senior technologists, evangelists and CTOs from leading industry technology development companies.
Fernández-Campón’s presentation, “Maximizing Storage – Storage Anywhere” will be held on Wednesday, May 24th at 4 PM. The subject matter will focus on new concepts in storage virtualization systems and their ability to provide content owners with a safe, reliable and cost-efficient storage system for cloud workflows and hybrid scenarios. Fernández-Campón will address the issues of managing a multi-site, distributed operation, and discuss the advantages of virtualized storage systems that can transparently manage the same content in multiple locations, automate task assignments and data transfers across multiple sites as needed, and the benefits of cloud architecture and its security.
Fernández-Campón is responsible for product line management at Tedial, ensuring that the Company’s products adhere to SMPTE and IT standards. He plays a crucial role in configuring and facilitating Tedial’s broadcast Enterprise installations and leading the on-going adaptation of the system to third party products and solutions. Julián’s extensive experience with computer-related companies dates back to 1997 when he launched his career with telecommunication giant Alcatel in software development. In 2000 he moved to the university research group that would become Tedial, where he was involved with software development and system analysis for the Company’s first versions of its flagship Tarsys Media Asset Management (MAM) solution.
Julián has a degree in Computer Science Engineering from the Higher Technical School of Computer Engineering - University of Málaga, specializing in Telecommunications and Robotics, and distinguished with first-class honors.
