Tedial has carried out installations in all main sectors where its tools may be applied: Broadcast, industrial, institutional, justice, and health. Next some of the most significant installations are briefly described.
The first phase of TEDIAL´s solution for content and audiovisual production management at TEUVE, channel factory, has finished. Material coming from different sources has been archived: on one hand, digitized tape material by K2, and, on the other, the material already digitized, supplied by different providers. At this second case, TEDIAL has done a standardization for making the format more homogeneous. Another workflow sends the material to be broadcasted by integration with Peeble Beach, automation system. Playlists are legible by this automation system, and the required media-sending to K2 is automatized too. TEDIAL has carried out the integration with AnyStream for automatic generation of playout copies, after the massive importation of historical material. The tapeless solution implemented in TEUVE includes TEDIAL´s products, such as TD TARSYS, TD MPM, TD AST and TD INDEXER.
TEDIAL has managed with, TD Media Process Manager, different and important media flows in this channel for almost 20 years of history, joining with AVID, UNITY (shared storage) and iNews (news system). This integration also has become effective for broadcast subject with the MCOM automation and the Media Stream videoservers, for the insertion and broadcasting of media. Four historical database based on BRS of Canal 9 have been migrated to the digital archive system of TEDIAL, TD TARSYS. Four hundred transformation rules of the data model have been applied. (24 million registered).
Tedial has installed in Televisa a system which fulfills two main objectives. The first one is to prepare material for its broadcasting (including customized interfaces for process automatization), integrated into the broadcasting automatization system. The second one is to generate the legal copy into which the automatic ratings analysis are integrated.
In the installation conducted in CMT (TV Castilla - La Mancha) the integration of the TD Tarsys MAM archive system with both a Unity news edition system and AirSpace video servers has been carried out, automated by means of the TD Media Process Manager module.
A TD Tarsys MAM archive system for news and programmes has been installed in Barcelona TV, based on a Unity edition system and with AirSpace video servers. An interface for reading INews rundowns and extracting cataloguing metadata is included, automating the material ingestion from them.
Tedial has installed a TD Tarsys MAM archive system that includes ingests specialized in the use of IP cameras. This system is used for the recording and consolidation in video of the airport and time control processes for the verification of quality parameters. The system also includes interfaces with the CONOPER airport management database.
For RTC (Main Office of Radio, Television and Cinematography) of Mexico, Tedial has installed a system capable of monitoring and recording 64 radio and 19 television channels through inside and outside capture units. An identification system of commercials by detection of video signatures is included.
The installation in the Audiovisual Council of Catalonia (CAC) constantly monitors all the radio and TV channels that broadcast in the territory of the Catalan Community. Due to its age, this installation stands out because of the great amount of material that has been stored and processed. As a sample, in january 2005 the system stored a total of 330,000 hours of video, 118 millions of frames, 450,000 audiovisual sequences, 455,000 assets, more than 5 millions of metadata, and more than 1 million of objects handled by TD AST.
A total of 92 television and 34 radio channels are captured and digitized in the installation of the Audiovisual Council of Romania, facilitating the work of control and information. The system synchronizes and captures the audiovisual channels, digitizes them, catalogues them by channel, schedule and programme, and transfers them to a central server where they are stored permanently. This storage also serves as the legal copy that all broadcasters are obliged to keep.
The Tarsys archive system is used with a customized data model which is compatible with the Gelabert data model, a parliamentary management system. Sessions are recorded in both broadcast and low qualities, for their use in the live cataloguing of the sessions. In addition, tasks for the publication in a Web server and its diffusion in Internet have been automated.
Tedial uses, in this installation, TD Tarsys MAM capture modules, along with independent databases, for the recording of the judicial proceedings, and the management of the resulting archives. All of it in fulfillment of the legislation, that forces the recording in video of the judicial events.
