Company will reveal its new Solution for Sports Production and its IMF Markup Tool to European media community
Tedial, the leading independent MAM technology solutions specialist, will highlight the latest innovations of its Evolution MAM and Workflow Orchestration tool kit, designed for media companies seeking cost-effective solutions, greater efficiencies and new revenue streams, at IBC 2018. Tedial will showcase SMARTLIVE, a unique sports and live event production support tool designed to give programs a competitive edge for elevated storytelling and increased fan engagement. Also, for the first time on display at IBC 2018, Tedial will showcase its IMF Markup Tool, which provides a near-line editor-like interface with industry-standard control that addresses the versioning requirements typically needed for distribution.
Thanks to the automatic highlights engine and AI integration, preparation time and production costs are significantly reduced allowing more highlights to be created with increased production efficiency. Additional published content means more revenue streams for our customers. With the introduction of our IMF Marked Up tool, Tedial tackles editing of IMF packages and offers a cost-effective and user-friendly solution to answer the versioning requirements.
New and Unique – SMARTLIVE
Tedial’s SMARTLIVE, a cutting-edge live sport solution and major revolution in sports production, marries Artificial Intelligence (AI) to an innovative metadata engine to bring the back office and archives closer to live than ever before. This tight integration supports an increased number of highlights, during or after an event, and allows a specific story to be delivered to a targeted audience via multiple platforms including social media, increasing the potential for significant growth in fan engagement.
SMARTLIVE is 100 per cent compatible with PAM providers such as SAM and EVS, which makes it the perfect tool to orchestrate all business processes on top of an existing PAM, including the use of historical archives in live production. It can then manage the media life-cycle or media movements between different sites.
New IMF Markup Tool
Tedial continues its IMF MAM leadership by expanding its HYPER IMF end-to-end MAM platform to include its new IMF Markup Tool, which addresses the versioning requirements typically needed for distribution. Designed for fast validation and repair of IMF packages, this intuitive tool functions independently of expensive third-party systems, making it an extremely cost-effective solution and easy-to operate for users. Tedial’s IMF Markup Tool provides new effective workflows to address three versioning use cases:
- The creation of a new IMF packages from content in the MAM, either complete or supplemental by adding/removing new audio tracks, subtitles, etc.
- Content localization: creation of new editorial versions adding leader insertions (bars, counter, etc.) and text insertions (open credits, end credits, localized inserts)
- The building of predefined “delivery templates” – creation of delivery templates to assemble all required components, such as leader insertions, localization requirements, and post-roll additions “on the fly”.
At IBC 2018 Tedial will also highlight HYPER IMF, the industry’s leading end-to-end IMF MAM. HYPER IMF leverages IMF methodologies to save users up to 25 per cent – or more – in storage, delivery and versioning costs. A true IMF solution, HYPER IMF supports IMP and supplemental file ingests and the creation of unique CPLs for archive, versioning and delivery.
Additional highlights include: Tedial’s award-winning Tedial Augmented Storage Management System (AST); and Tedial Evolution Version Factory for distribution.
